Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Dry were held last Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Utterback of Hebron, and were attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic). Ella Matilda Crouse was born near Chester, Nebraska, April 32 (sic), 1893, and passed away December 11, 1933, being at the time of her death in her fortieth year. Ella Matilda Crouse was born near Chester, Nebraska, April 32 (sic), 1893, and passed away December 11, 1933, being at the time of her death in her fortieth year. She spent her entire life in this community. She came into the church when a girl and was always active in the affairs of the church, the Bible School, Christian Endeavor and Missionary work. She was an efficient and capable worker; a teacher of the Golden Circle class for years, a good student and loved to read the Bible, and found much comfort in it in her closing days as the book was her constant companion. She was a patient sufferer and during her long illness, the greatest medical science of the world was brought to her bedside, with no avail. She was interested in the social and educational activities of the community; a graduate of Chester high school, being a member of the class of 1913, and many times was called to assist in the various activities of the school. She was a faithful member of the Eastern Star, and likewise assumed willingly her share of duties. On November 24, 1926 she was married to Wm. Dry, and besides her husband, and his children, Doris, Paul, Ruth, and Jay, she leaves her mother, Mrs. Kate Crouse, two brothers, J.S. and W.J.; and one sister, Mrs. L.W. Larkins, all of Chester; other relatives in Iowa, Illinois and Ohio; and a host of friends, to mourn her untimely departure.
