Description	:	Christena Pauline Larkins, daughter of John and Kate Rhorer Crouse, was born at Lincoln, Illinois, on December 25, 1884, and passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia, Kansas on November 23, 1979, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 28 days. She graduated from the Chester High School with the class of 1903. She was united in marriage to W. Read More	Christena Pauline Larkins, daughter of John and Kate Rhorer Crouse, was born at Lincoln, Illinois, on December 25, 1884, and passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia, Kansas on November 23, 1979, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 28 days. She graduated from the Chester High School with the class of 1903. She was united in marriage to W. Lee Larkins on January 20, 1914, and to this union six children were born, Evelyn, Shirley, Willard, Hazel, Fay and Ella. She moved to Chester with her parents at the age of three and spent the rest of her life in the Chester community. Christena and her husband, Lee, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 20, 1979. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Chester, Nebraska. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Ella, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Lee of the home; one son, Willard of Concordia, Ks.; four daughters: Miss Evelyn Larkins of Chester, Mrs. Shirley Walta of Concordia, Ks., Mrs. Leonard (Hazel) Pleis of Aurora, Colo., and Mrs. Lawrence (Fay) Tiemeyer of Braddyville, Ia.; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; several other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 26, 1979, at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ of Chester, Nebraska, by the pastor Lacey Joiner. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
