Jack Weida, Victor United Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Park died Saturday, Mar. 12, 1977 at Brooklyn in Brookhaven Nursing home where she had resided since February. Born Nov. 25, 1894 at her parents' home near Victor, she was the youngest of 12 children for David and Sarah Noaker Coates. She attended rural Iowa county schools and later enrolled at Iowa Wesleyan college, Mt. Pleasant. May 26, 1920 she married Roy Park at Victor, where they continued to reside. She was a member of the Victor United Methodist church, a charter member of the WSCS of the church, a charter member of the American Legion auxiliary and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star. Sruviving are her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Janice) Cook, Warrensburg, Mo.; two sons, Richard, Victor; and Raymond, Warrensburg, Mo.; six grandchildren; one brother, James V. Coates, Long Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons who died in infancy, four sisters and six brothers.
