Read More	Stratford Courier October 23, 1930 Ernest Gustaf Waller was born at Åmots Bruk, Ockelbo, Gävleborg, Sweden, Dec. 2, 1885, the son of Carl and Anna (Andersdotter) Waller, and passed away from this life at the hospital in Boone Oct. 15, 1930, at the age of 44 years, 10 months, 13 days. He came to this country with his parents, brothers and sister at the age of 19 months and had spent practically all of his life in the Swede Bend community where he was honored and loved by all. He was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Johnson, Feb. 10, 1915, who, after so few years of happy married life, is called upon to mourn his death. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Alvina) Erickson, of near Stanhope, three brothers, E.A. and Carl W., of Stratford, and Herbert H., of Fort Dodge, who was his twin brother. A host of friends will also mourn most sincerely his passing. His mother and father have preceded him to that better land. He gave himself to Christ and his service at the age of 20 years and has served his Master faithfully and well. For many years he had been a faithful member of the Swedish Mission Church, also superintendent of the Sunday school and a Sunday school teacher. He took a special interest in the children and the young people of his community and the success of his work is shown in the splendid Christian character of the young people of the Swede Bend community. Surely he will hear his Master say, "Well come, thou good and faithful servant," and "In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me." Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home and at the Swedish Mission Church, conducted by Rev. Abraham, his pastor of Pilot Mound who spoke to the many family and friends who filled the church to capacity with as many more outside. Beautiful vocal selections were given by Mrs. Abraham and daughters, Miss Naomi. A profusion of beautiful flowers mutely testified of the love and esteem of all. Six boys of his Sunday school class acted as pall bearers: Paul and Raymond Berglund, Lester Swanson, Clifford Anderson and John and Arthur Larson. Interment was made in the Hardin Township Cemetery. Those attending the funeral service from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seline, Anaconda, Mont., Mr. and Mrs. John Hedlund, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Hedlund and children, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Franzen and children, Alfred Nordblom and daughters, Miss Chrystelle and Mrs. Simpson Carey, all of Des Moines, Oscar Johnson and mother, Mrs. Emily Johnson, of Kanawha, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Waller, of Fort Dodge.
