Description	:	Alvina K. (Waller) Erickson was born in Sweden, Aug. 31, 1878, and died in the home of her daughter, southeast of Stratford, May 8, 1939, at the age of 61 years, 8 months, 8 days. She came with her parents from Sweden in 1887, and they located on a farm in the vicinity of Stratford. She was united in marriage to Alfred Erickson on March 16, 1898 and they located on a farm southeast of Stratford. (Waller) Erickson was born in Sweden, Aug. 31, 1878, and died in the home of her daughter, southeast of Stratford, May 8, 1939, at the age of 61 years, 8 months, 8 days. She came with her parents from Sweden in 1887, and they located on a farm in the vicinity of Stratford. She was united in marriage to Alfred Erickson on March 16, 1898 and they located on a farm southeast of Stratford. In June 1932, Mr. and Mrs. Erickson moved from their farm into Stratford and here Mr. Erickson died in the year, 1934. Mrs. Erickson remained in town until the fall of 1938 when she became ill and since then had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Melvin Engstrom. She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter, a son, Glenn Erickson; two brothers, Carl W. Waller of Stratford, and Herbert H. Waller of Fort Dodge; six grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Carl and Anna (Andersdotter) Waller; and three brothers, Carl August Waller, Edward A. Waller and Ernest G. Waller. During her last illness, she was bedfast for many weeks but she endured her sufferings with patience and fortitude and greatly appreciated the loving care and kindness of her beloved ones and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, with a service at 1:15 in the farm home and at 2:00 in the Baptist Church. A ladies quartette, composed of Mesdames Ralph Freese, Lester Calrson, Oscar Borg and Miss Anna Mae Johnson, sang "I Come to the Garden Alone," and "Sometime We'll Understand." The accompaniment was played by Mrs. Francis Sonley. The services were in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Francis Sonley, who used for his text, Phil. 1:29-23. The body was laid to rest in the Hardin Township Cemetery and the casket bearers were J.O. Westrum, John Erickson, Emil Erickson, Godfrey Lundquist, August Johnson and Henry Peterson.
