She attended Glasco Grade School and Glasco High School, graduating with the class of 1931. On July 18, 1933, she was united in marriage to James T. Butler. To this union four children were born: Georgina Ann, James Lee, Paul Francis, and Barbara Jeanette. The first ten years of her married life were spent in Glasco. Read More	Glasco Sun Dec. 16, 1948, page 1: Esther Frances Studt, the daughter of J.W. and Ida Studt, was born May 31, 1913, at Glasco, Kansas. She attended Glasco Grade School and Glasco High School, graduating with the class of 1931. On July 18, 1933, she was united in marriage to James T. Butler. To this union four children were born: Georgina Ann, James Lee, Paul Francis, and Barbara Jeanette. The first ten years of her married life were spent in Glasco. In August, 1943, she and her family moved to Tacoma, Washington, where they remained three years, returning to Glasco in December, 1946, where she lived until her death. She had been in rather poor health for several years and was taken to the St. Joseph's hospital at Concordia, Kansas, on Dec. 9th, where she passed away on the same date at the age of 35 years, 6 months and 9 days. Esther was a faithful friend and a devoted and loyal wife and mother. Her father preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1932. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, the four children above named, her mother, Mrs. Ida Studt, one sister, Mrs. Jerome Shaffer of Simpson, Kansas; and two brothers, Charles Studt of Glasco and Roy Studt of Oroville, California, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Dec. 14, at nine o'clock at the Catholic church. Pallbearers were Chet Halderson, Tom Butler, Roy Martin, Ray Studt, Martin Butler, Jr., and James Hurley. Flower bearers were Mrs. Boyd Gibson, Mrs. Chet Halderson, and Mrs. Howard Courtney. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery at Glasco, Kansas, with Griffith Funeral Home in charge.
