Description	:	Forrest Hale "Rusty" Ketcham, 95, of Fort Madison, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his home. Born Dec. 29, 1912, in Fairfield, he was the son of Carl and Ethel Whitcomb Ketcham. On Aug. 11, 1951, he married Gertrude Julia Conradt in Fort Madison. Mr. Ketcham worked at Sheaffer Pen Company in Fort Madison in the repair department for 30 years, retiring May 3, 1976. He served in the Army during World War II. He moved to Fort Madison in 1948. Read More	Forrest Hale "Rusty" Ketcham, 95, of Fort Madison, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his home. Born Dec. 29, 1912, in Fairfield, he was the son of Carl and Ethel Whitcomb Ketcham. On Aug. 11, 1951, he married Gertrude Julia Conradt in Fort Madison. Mr. Ketcham worked at Sheaffer Pen Company in Fort Madison in the repair department for 30 years, retiring May 3, 1976. He served in the Army during World War II. He moved to Fort Madison in 1948. He was a member of Fort Madison Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Fort Madison Shrine Club Trolly. He was a 25-year member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 374, a 55-year member of Stella Masonic Lodge 440 A.F. & A.M. and a 36-year member of KAABA Shrine. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed playing golf and cards. Survivors include his wife; one stepsister, Ruth Goehring of Fairfield; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, one brother and one sister. The funeral for Mr. Ketcham will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barr Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Soldiers' Circle, Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.
