She was born in Chili, New York, September 12, eighteen hundred forty five and during all those eighty five and more years of her life was a benediction. She was born in Chili, New York, September 12, eighteen hundred forty five and during all those eighty five and more years of her life was a benediction. She was the youngest of a family of ten children and the last of them to go. They are: C. M. Jones of Lawrence, J. W. Jones of Fowley, Col; Mrs. Evan Strond of Farraqut, Iowa and Mrs. G. R. Shultz, Mrs. Chas. Husted and Mrs. Chester Spray of Lawrence, Kansas. She is survived by 22 grandchildren. She married W. H. Jones in July eighteen hundred and sixty seven who died in nineteen hundred and fourteen. In eighteen hundred seventy eight they came to Lawrence. After settled on a farm and there they spent nearly all of their lives and reared all their children. She was dearly loved by all who knew her for her's was a sweet and loving disposition and she counted to friends to every one she knew. Until recently when she failed she so loved her home that she refused to go to live with any of her children although the home of every one stood open to her with always a cordial welcome.
