B. Sorenson - Francis B. Sorenson, son of Mrs. C. Paulson of the Morton hotel, died at 11 o'clock Saturday evening at the Morton hotel after a five weeks' illness resulting from kidney trouble. A week before the termination of the fatal illness, the attending physicians could discern the end near at hand. Cut down by the grim reaper when life was brightest and best, the young man had attained an age but little greater than his majority when death came Saturday. Born in Nebraska September 29, 1885, he was 21 years, 4 months and 7 days old Saturday. A year ago when Mr. and Mrs. Paulson came to Nebraska City and assumed proprietorship of the Morton hotel, the young man accompanied them and was employed until the beginning of his illness as night clerk. During his short residence in Nebraska City he had gained a number of friends whose sympathy is extended to the bereaved parents. Funeral services will be held at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning from the Morton hotel, Rev. J. W. Merrill, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. The Elks lodge, of which the young man was a member, will have charge of the funeral. Coates of Leadville, Colorado, made a brief visit at the home of their uncle, C. Paulsen in this city last week. Their mother, Mrs. Chris Paulsen, a resident of this city a number of years ago while her husband was operating the Commercial Hotel, was buried in Dannebrog last week. A brother of theirs, who died and was buried in Omaha 13 years ago was last week removed to the cemetery in Dannebrog to rest beside the body of his mother.
