Description	:	The death of Frank P. Colgan occurred at the farm home five miles north of Alma, on Tuesday, June 10, following several years illness. Frank, the son of John and Maria Colgan, was born on February 8, 1866, at Wyoming, Illinois. Baptized in the Catholic faith he remained faithful to his religious training throughout his life. Mr. Colgan came to Nebraska in 1889, having lived here 58 years. On February 28, 1889, he was united in marriage to Bridget Hennessey at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Agnew, Nebr. Mr. Colgan came to Nebraska in 1889, having lived here 58 years. On February 28, 1889, he was united in marriage to Bridget Hennessey at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Agnew, Nebr. On February 28, 1939, Mr. and Mrs. Colgan observed their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and relatives. To this union were born ten children. His beloved wife Bridget and children John, Mary, Sister Mary Suso and Francis preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Alma at 10 o’clock am, June 13, Father Schmitz officiating. Mrs. Ellen Medinger accompanied by Helen Lennemann sang. Surviving children are: Leo of Orleans; Loretta Ruby of Denver; William, Edward and Celestine at home. 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one brother also survive. Those who attended the funeral from out of town included Dan J. Colgan, Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Mary McDaniels, Peoria, Ill., Mr. John Hennessey, Mr. and Mrs. Albin Policky and Leroy, Anna Hennessey and Edward Hennessey, all of Lincoln, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. August Lehman, Irene, Tom and Bill of Denver; Mrs. Marie Fischer and Terry Lou and Mr. and Mrs. James Lehman, Jimmy and Jerry Lynne of Denver; Mrs. WJ Middleton, Oxford; Mrs. Loretta Ruby, Patricia Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ruby, Elaine and Jean of Denver; Mr. WJ Colgan, Smithfield, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. FE Colgan and Cheryl and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Elliott, all of Pasadena, California.
