Description	:	Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Victor, Monday afternoon, April 29, for Frank Mohr, who died at his home shortly before noon Saturday. Rev. H. W. Brandt of Marengo, former pastor at the Immanuel Methodist church, delivered the sermon and was assisted by Rev. J. J. Pritchard and Rev. O. C. Ellis. Two selections were sung by a quartet, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Schwiebert and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brandt, accompanied by Mrs. Art Schwiebert. Frank Joseph Mohr was born December 12, 1871, in Victor, and passed away Saturday morning, April 27, at 11:20 a.m. at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 15 days. He was ill for some time, but in spite of great pain he bore this illness at all times with Christian grace and fortitude. Mr. Mohr attended the Victor Immanuel Methodist church, of which he was a life-long member. On December 19, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Mae Coats of North English. To this happy union 12 children were born. One daughter preceded him in death in infancy. He was at all times a true and devoted husband and with his faithful wife shared the joys and sorrows of life. his children were his constant interest and their welfare was to him of great importance. As a long time citizen of this community his views and suggestions were greatly respected by all those who were acquainted with him. Survivors include his wife, five sons, six daughters: Dale of West Branch, Everett of Victor, Earl of Marengo, Mrs. Leonard Fullmer and Mere of Victor, Mrs. George Schultz of Carroll, Mrs. Cecil Cranston and Mrs. Deane Cranston of Deep River, Nannie of Montezuma, Ella Mae and LaVerne at home; also six grandsons and two granddaughters, four brothers: John, Vince, Oliver and Cleve; and three sisters: Mrs. William Carl, Mrs. Emma Carl and Mrs. Whitehead, besides two uncles and numerous other relatives and friends. ------------------------------------------------ Source: Quasquicentennial 1868-1993 Book Submitted by Lula Cranston Frank and May Mohr moved to a farm near Guernsey in 1898, which we referred to as the Sheda farm (now owned by Robert and Raymond Rinehart). In 1908, they bought a farm in Lincoln Township, Poweshiek County, from George Atkinson. The original house on the farm was bought and moved by a neighbor. A newhome was built in 1918 by the Pete Waline family. In 1973, the farm was sold to Charles and Ruth Ranfeld of Victor. Myrle and Tillie moved to a new home in Victor.
