Description	:	Frank R. Moorehead, son of Judge John and Martha Moorehead, passed away in Dawson, New Mexico, on Dec. 15, 1920. He was born at Iowa City, Iowa, on April 22, 1854. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida County, Iowa. He was one of the early settlers of Ida County, coming to the area when but 2 years of age when the family moved here with a 3 seated surrey for the family, 2 wagons pulled by 2 yoke of oxen, horse and buggy, hired girl, Martha's mother, and 3 hired men. He was born at Iowa City, Iowa, on April 22, 1854. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida County, Iowa. He was one of the early settlers of Ida County, coming to the area when but 2 years of age when the family moved here with a 3 seated surrey for the family, 2 wagons pulled by 2 yoke of oxen, horse and buggy, hired girl, Martha's mother, and 3 hired men. He was married to Martha Jean Jacob on Oct. 17, 1879. Four children were born to them, J. Alexander (electrical engineer) of Cambridge, MA.; Frank Forrest (mining engineer) of Dawson, New Mexico; Chauncy H. of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Lee Copeland who died in infancy. He is survived by three brothers, William C. Moorehead; Giles C. Moorehead, Hammond Moorehead, and a sister, Anna Woodworth of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Moorehead had gone to his son's, Frank, home at Dawson, New Mexico, where he was taken sick, and after a brief illness, died of pneumonia, Dec. 15, 1920. The remains were brought to Ida Grove by his sons, Chauncy and Frank, and his wife. Mr. Moorehead was a life long Episcopalian of a deep moral and religious nature and most highly respected where he lived. The funeral was held from the home of his brother, Giles C. Moorehad, Monday Dec. 20, Rev J. J. Davies officiating.
