Description	:	George Edmon Moss, son of Joshua H. and Lydia L. Moss, was born on May 20, 1874, at Eddyville, Iowa, and departed this life at his home in Nelson, Nebraska, on September 2, 1942. He came to Nebraska with his parents at the age of nine and since then, except for a brief time spent at Norton, Kansas, and Burlington, Colorado, has made Nuckolls county his home. Read More	George Edmon Moss, son of Joshua H. and Lydia L. Moss, was born on May 20, 1874, at Eddyville, Iowa, and departed this life at his home in Nelson, Nebraska, on September 2, 1942. He came to Nebraska with his parents at the age of nine and since then, except for a brief time spent at Norton, Kansas, and Burlington, Colorado, has made Nuckolls county his home. On September 3rd, 1898, he was united in marriage to Nettie M. Crannell who preceded him in death on December 7th, 1921. To this union were born three children: Mrs. Virginia Pearson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Clyde of Lawrence, Nebraska; and Mrs. Luceil Bagley of Superior, Nebraska, all being with him at the time of his passing. On February 11th, 1931, he was united in marriage to Grace Fletcher who with the children remain to mourn his passing. Besides the wife and children he is survived by three step children, Fay and Jay Crannell, both of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Geraldine Perkins of San Bernardino, Calif., three brothers, Will of Pauline, Nebraska, John of Edgar, Nebraska, and James of Chicago, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. May Collins of Nelson, Mrs. Elsie Shurtleff of Lincoln, and Mrs. Ada Schufeldt of Hyannis, Nebraska; also eight grand children, three great grand children; many other relatives and a host of friends who will cherish his memory as having been a loving husband, a kind and considerate father and a true loyal friend. He united with the Christian Church of Nelson on May 7, 1933, and remained a faithful member until his death. For many years he has served the people of Nelson faithfully as deliveryman for merchants of the town and he will be greatly missed by all because of his cheerfulness and his jovial manner, even though he often worked under great handicaps of adverse weather and failing health. The funeral was held at the Christian Church Friday afternoon, Rev. C.M. Foust in charge. The pallbearers were: Charles Chamberlain, Paul Hattan, Joe Diehl, Davis Smith, L.L. Frantz and H. Mc Adamson. The burial was in the local cemetery.
