Description	:	George H. Higgins, 57, resident of Villisca all his life, died of a heart attack Friday about 10 a.m. at the Municipal Hospital at Clarinda where he was taken that morning shortly after he was stricken at 4 a.m. that day. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Herbert H. Stahnke. The singing was by Mrs. Margaret Hull accompanied by Mrs. Frances Wheeler and the pall bearers were Glenn Henry, Reuel Fengel, Geo Philpott, Leslie Watts, Fay Still, and Frank Himiller. Military rites were conducted at the grave in Villisca Cemetery by Ker-A-Vor Post No. 251 of the American Legion. George Harvey Higgins, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Higgins was born in Villisca September 3, 1893, and this was his home during his entire life. He spent 13 months in the armed services during World War 1 and his awards include four stars for campaigns in action. He worked as a painter in Villisca until the time of his death. Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Venice Moore, Maxwell, Iowa and Mrs. Wayne Hull, Lorimore; two brothers, Roy of Manson, Iowa and Frank, Villisca.
