His health had been none too good for some time. Mr. Chapman was born October 21, 1871, on a farm east of Nelson and lived near here until about fifteen years ago when he went to Washington to make his home with his son Wallace. He returned here last summer, after spending some time enroute, in the home of a sister in Wellfleet, Nebraska. He spent the summer at Nelson and moved to the home of his daughter about a month ago. On November 1, 1906 (sic), he was married to Sara Kathryn Bruce. Mrs. Chapman died July 7, 1925. He is survived by two daughters, Jewel Wishart of Superior, and Helen Stowe of Vancouver, Wash.; three sons, Wallace of Camas, Wash., Mark of Camas, Wash., and Donald, living in California; three sisters, Stella LaPlant of Wellfleet, Mrs. Charles Smith of St. Paul, Nebr., and Mrs. John Benjamin of Joplin, Mo.; and one brother, Clark O. Chapman of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Two brothers, Charley and Bert, and a sister, Bertha, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held yesterday (January 1st) in Superior with burial in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
