Description	:	Gertrude Marguerite Lott was born to John Lewis Peters and Mary Ellen Francis Peters on January 27, 1904, at Fairmont, and passed away February 28, 1988 at her home in Fairmont, at the age of 84 years, one month and one day. Read More	Gertrude Marguerite Lott was born to John Lewis Peters and Mary Ellen Francis Peters on January 27, 1904, at Fairmont, and passed away February 28, 1988 at her home in Fairmont, at the age of 84 years, one month and one day. She was one of three children in the family. Gertrude was a resident of the Fairmont community her entire life. She attended school District 26, and graduated from Fairmont High School Class of 1923. In 1923, she married Floyd Lusk, and to this union a daughter, Wynona Lusk was born. Floyd died at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island. In 1927, Gertrude married Albert L. Lott and to this union two daughters were born, Lois Elaine and Barbara Joan. Albert had two sons, who were twins, Morris and Norris. Gertrude and Albert were prominent farmers and cattle feeders, belonging to the Exeter Breeders and Feeders Association for many years. After Albert's death in may of 1986, Gertrude maintained her home in Fairmont. She was a loyal member of her church and active in community affairs, taking part in social work when her health permitted. Gertrude was preceded in death by her father and mother; two brothers, Raymond Edward and Clarence Louis. She is survived by three daughters, Miss Wynona Lusk of New Albany, In., Lois Schultz and husband Wayne, of Lincoln and Mrs. Barbara Slaybaugh of Fairmont; a step-son, Morris and wife Rosella of Sutton; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church, Fairmont, on Thursday, March 3, with the Rev. Norman Kauble officiating. Mrs. Marvin Swartz accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall, who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "The Lord's Prayer." Pallbearers were Ralph Keil, David Bristol, Don Bristol, Larry Schepers, Claude Lefler and Wayne Stone. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery.
