Mrs. Dellinger was subject to heart trouble, and it is thought the bee sting gave her such a shock as to cause instant death. Omaha Daily Bee, June 26, 1891, Page 3: Council Bluffs News - The funeral of Mrs. Dellinger will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence, 1817 Second avenue. The remains will be interred in Fairview cemetery. Omaha Daily Bee, June 27, 1891, Page 3: Council Bluffs News - The funeral of Mrs. Dellinger, wife of George Dellinger, occurred yesterday from the home, 1817 Second avenue. Mrs. Dellinger was born October 1, 1838, at Pittsburg, Pa. In 1867 she was united in marriage with George Dellinger. In 1868 they came to Council Bluffs and have since made it their home. Mrs. Dellinger was one of the kindest and best women and all loved and respected that knew her. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss, Miss Sadie and Charles Dellinger and Mrs. Charles Bachman. --------------------------------- Obituary for her husband: Omaha Daily Bee, June 13, 1895, Page 3: Council Bluffs News - George W. Dellinger died at 11:15 Tuesday night of cancer of the liver, at the age of 61 years and 10 months, after being ill eight months. He was a member of the Broadway Methodist church and Hawkeye lodge, Odd Fellows. The funeral will be held at the residence, 1817 Second avenue, tomorrow afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
