OBITUARY- HAROLD LEE ANDREWS Harold Lee Andrews, born June 23, 1954 at Pawnee County Memorial Hospital, Pawnee City, Neb. to Owen Dwight and Fern Alma (Yoble) Andrews of DuBois, Neb., passed away June 15, 2003 at Bryan LGH East, Lincoln, Neb. having reached the age of 49 years, 11 months and 22 days. Harold attended DuBois Elementary School in DuBois through the 8th grade. He graduated from Pawnee City High School with the class of 1972. After graduation Harold and Larry Yoble entered the US Air Force on the buddy plan. Harold was reassigned to another division, and they were separated. He took basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He then loaded planes at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He left the Air Force in 1975 as an Airman 1st Class. Harold worked road construction for a time, and then went to work at Nemaha County Co-Op. He worked there for 18 years. He met and married Roxanna Funk July 17, 1976 in Bern, Kan. To this union three daughters were born: April, Charity and Ashley. They were divorced in 1991. He left Pawnee County to live in the North Platte area, working for Ag-Chem of Grand Island. He then went to work for TESSCO, putting up cross country power lines. He spent a year in North Carolina driving a truck cross country. He went back to TESSCO last September. He was working around San Angelo, Texas when he had a heart attack in February. Harold had a double bypass and a patch put in his heart in April. He died of complications on Father's Day. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerald Andrews, brothers-in-law: Dennis Shaffer and Robert Cavric. He is survived by daughters: April and husband Clint Johnson of Pawnee City, Neb.; Charity Andrews of Lincoln and fiance Nick Blecha stationed in Bosnia; and Ashley Andrews of Lincoln; sisters: Phyllis and husband Carl Smith, DuBois, Neb.; Kathryn Cavric, Bellevue, Neb.; Carol and Harold Carr, Seneca, Kan.; and Brneda and Larry Peters, Eagle, Neb.; special friend, Anita Lang, DuBois, Neb.; sister-in-law, Carolyn and husband Max Huerter, Bern, Kan.; nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Services were held June 19, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the DuBois United Methodist Church, DuBois, Neb. with Pastor Mark Crist officiating. Interment was int eh DuBois Cemetery, DuBois, Neb. with full military honors performed by an honor guard from Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Neb. Casket bearers are Keith Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Rick Hoffman, Roy Yoble, Dale Yoble, Howard Mallory, and Rick Amos. Honorary casket bearers were Remington and Colt Honson, Chad Reynolds, Dave Anderson and his co-workers and friends at TESSCO Inc. The Popkess Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
