Born in Lake Pleasant, he was a son of the late Bertram and Alma (Emeneau) Veinot. Born in Lake Pleasant, he was a son of the late Bertram and Alma (Emeneau) Veinot. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Dorothy Stoddart; daughters, Diane (David) Fuller, Blomidon; Gail (Lenny) Barkhouse, Scott's Bay Road; Patricia (Wendell) Brewster, Centreville; son, Ivan (Doreen), Inglisville; grandson raised by Alex and Dorothy, Chris (Jasmina), Halifax; nine additional grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by sisters, Winnifred Whynott and Doris Veinot; brothers, Bertram, Frank, and Reginald; grandsons, Tyler and Ryan. Visitation will be held from 3-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, Rev. Derek Langille officiating. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Pereau Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
