Mr. Niblick had been ill Friday and Saturday but had improved enough to go to his cottage at Silver Lake for a short while Sunday and neighbors had talked to him Sunday evening after his return. Mrs. Barnes going to the Niblick kitchen Monday morning called him and when she received no answer called Mr. Barnes who went into the bedroom and found the body. Mr. Niblick was born near Decatur and came to Wabash when a young man. He entered the barber business in the building where the Lutz furniture store is now located and has been in partnership with Otto Elliott since then. They moved into the Hotel Indiana when that building was first erected about 27 years ago. Mr. Niblick was the son of James and Mary Niblick and his marriage to Luella Johnson Summers, occurred in about 1908. She preceded him in death July 14, 1941. Surviving are one son, James, Chicago, who is on vacation in Florida, a step-daughter, Mrs. John Murphy, Warsaw, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Niblick attended the Christian Science church and was a member of the Elks and Masonic lodges. Friends may call at the Hoover Funeral home and services will be arranged after word has been received from the son.
