Walters, 77, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County who died Sunday at Suburban Hospital after a brief illiness, were held Tuesday at the W. R. Pumphrey funeral home in Rockville. Burial was in Forest Oak Cemetery, Gaithersburg. Mrs Walters was a descendant of the Ricketts family who were large plantation owners in this area in Colonial days. She was the sister of the late William Frank Ricketts, a former Montgomery County Commissioner.
