Description	:	The Hooper Sentinel January 23, 1919 Mrs. Louis Stroh, Sr. Mrs. Louis Stroh, nee Kallenbach, wife of Louis Stroh, sr., passed away at the family home on Tuesday evening, January 21, 1919, at 7:05 o'clock, at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 5 days. Mrs. Stroh was born on August 16, 1858, near Watertown, Wisc., coming to this vicinity when a child. In June, 1876, she was married to Louis Stroh, on the farm northeast of Hooper, and her entire married life was spent in this community. Mrs. Stroh was born on August 16, 1858, near Watertown, Wisc., coming to this vicinity when a child. In June, 1876, she was married to Louis Stroh, on the farm northeast of Hooper, and her entire married life was spent in this community. The marriage was blessed with six children, all of whom survive. Mrs. Stroh had been in ill health for some time, having suffered the third stroke of paralysis about six weeks ago which eventually caused her death, in spite of all skill of physicians, trained attendant and the constant care of relatives. Mrs. Stroh was quiet, unassuming woman, much beloved by those who knew her best, and held in high esteem by old and young alike. Her departure will be most keenly felt in the home where her greatest interests always lay. Besides the bereft husband she leaves to mourn her loss her six children, Mrs. Anton Tunberg, Louis, Ed and Alfred of Hooper, and Mesdames C. H. Uehling and Tom Cushman of the Herman neighborhood. She also leaves a number of grandchildren, Mrs. W. Rupert, a sister, and Conrad Kallenbach, of Cheyenne county, a brother. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon a 2 o'clock from the Zions Lutheran church, Rev. Schrader having charge. Interment will be in the Hooper cemetery.
