He was born January 15, 1875 in the log cabin on the old homestead where his nephew Edmund Horn now lives. In August 1880 he moved with his parents to his grandfather Buettner's homestead where he grew to manhood and has since lived, engaged in farming and stock raising. Read More	Glasco Sun, March 22, 1928, page 1: Henry Charles Horn was the fifth child of a family of seven children of Carl Christian Horn and Julianna Christiana Buettner. He was born January 15, 1875 in the log cabin on the old homestead where his nephew Edmund Horn now lives. In August 1880 he moved with his parents to his grandfather Buettner's homestead where he grew to manhood and has since lived, engaged in farming and stock raising. He was married April 23, 1901 to Amelia Rozela Lange. To this union was born four children, one son and three daughters, Lawrence, Freda, Lila and Helen, all surviving him at his death. He was an overindulging father, always ready to serve his family and to satisfy all the wishes of his children. He was permitted to serve them to the last hour of his life by taking his two youngest daughters to school the morning of his death, which seems so untimely as there was so much he could and would have done. He was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. All his life he has been a member of the Lutheran Church of Glasco and at the time of his death was on the church council. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Glasco. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, one son and daughter-in-law; three daughters, two sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Louise Grau and Mrs. Fred Diminowski of Glasco and the brothers, Otto of Glasco and Fred of Russell, Kansas. There are many more relatives and friends in this community. He died March 15, 1928, aged 53 years and two months. It seems he has drawn the drapery of his couch about him and laid down to rest and pleasant dreams, with beautiful visions of the world to come.
