Description	:	Henry (Hank) Parr, son of Bernard and Bernadine (Wiese) Parr was born February 5, 1907, on a farm near Howells. He was the youngest of six children. His mother died when he was a week old. Henry attended Olean School and graduated from Dodge H.S. He married Emma Miklas on June 30, 1931. Henry was employed as night watchman in Dodge until 1935, when he and Emma moved to Snyder where they opened a chicken hatchery and feed store. Henry attended Olean School and graduated from Dodge H.S. He married Emma Miklas on June 30, 1931. Henry was employed as night watchman in Dodge until 1935, when he and Emma moved to Snyder where they opened a chicken hatchery and feed store. They moved their hatchery business to Dodge in 1940 and operated that business until 1951. Henry then purchased the Dodge Liquor Store and operated that business until 1963, at the time of Henry's untimely death, 12-19-63, at age 56. Henry enjoyed hobbies of hunting and fishing. He was an enthusiastic supporter of all civic and church improvements and activities. He served as mayor from 1951-1955 and 1962, and remembered as a prominent civic leader.
