He was married to Emma Weers Oct. 11, 1922, at the Weers family home in Cass Township. Couple farmed in Cass until I960 when they, moved to a farm south of Anamosa. Survivors Named Survivors include his wife, Emma, five sons, Edwin, Anamosa; Donald, Cedar Rapids; Leonard, Willis and Kenneth, all of Anamosa; five daughters, Henrietta, Mrs. Roy Morning, Wilma Kray, Leoria, Mrs. Clarence Osterkamp and Mrs. Marietta Gartland, all of Anamosa; and, Dorothy, Mrs. James Stadtmueller, Monticello. Others include three sisters, Mrs. George Dirks, Amber; and Mrs. George Schoon, Monticello. He was preceded in death by one brother, John, and one sister, Emma, Mrs. Henry Ortgies.
