Description	:	Mrs. T. J. Webb Mrs. Hettie S. Webb, wife of T. Jefferson Webb, prominent meat packer of Crisfield and Salisbury, died suddenly Saturday afternoon from a heart attack. She was 68 years of age. Mrs. Webb stricken while on her way to the home of Mrs. Amy Horsey, near town, to tender her sympathy at the death of Mrs. Horsey's half-sister, Miss Nellie Ward, a personal friend of Mrs. Webb. Read More	Mrs. T. J. Webb Mrs. Hettie S. Webb, wife of T. Jefferson Webb, prominent meat packer of Crisfield and Salisbury, died suddenly Saturday afternoon from a heart attack. She was 68 years of age. Mrs. Webb stricken while on her way to the home of Mrs. Amy Horsey, near town, to tender her sympathy at the death of Mrs. Horsey's half-sister, Miss Nellie Ward, a personal friend of Mrs. Webb. Suddenly she was seen to slump down on the seat of the car in which she was riding. She was immediately rushed to the McCready Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival at that institution. Although she was slightly injured with her husband in an automobile accident several weeks ago, it was thought that she had completely recovered. The entire community was greatly shocked to learn of her sudden death Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Webb was the daughter of the late Noah T. and Mariah Byrd, and a member of one of this community's pioneer families. She was a member of Immanuel M. E. Church and took an interest in the religious and social affairs of the community. She was a home loving woman, and took a just pride in her home and family. She had a large number of friends throughout the community who liked and admired her for her many fine qualities. She is survived by her husband, T. Jefferson Webb, of Crisfield; four sons, T. Edward Webb, President of the Marine Bank of Crisfield, Murray Webb, of Salisbury, Granville and T. Jefferson, Jr., of Crisfield; and four daughters, Mrs. Alma Dickerson, of Salisbury, Mrs. Mary Shellberg, of Crisfield, Miss Elsie Webb, of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Winford Ennis, of Crisfield. Funeral services were held from the home on N. Somerset avenue on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J. R. Bicking, pastor of Immanuel M.E. Church. Pall bearers were Clyde Covington, William Webb, Frank Landon, Thomas Sterling, Charles Richardson, Lester Tyler. Interment was in Crisfield cemetery.
