Description	:	Hezzie Harvey "J.R." Moore, 73, of Windsor Spring Road, Hepzibah, Ga., died Thursday, February 14, 2002, in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta. Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Hezzie Harvey Moore, Sr. and Mary Cothran Moore. He was a retired electrician and was also a minister in the Free Will Baptist Church for 30 years. He attended the Windsor Heights Baptist Church of Hephzibah and was a Mason. Moore, 73, of Windsor Spring Road, Hepzibah, Ga., died Thursday, February 14, 2002, in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta. Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Hezzie Harvey Moore, Sr. and Mary Cothran Moore. He was a retired electrician and was also a minister in the Free Will Baptist Church for 30 years. He attended the Windsor Heights Baptist Church of Hephzibah and was a Mason. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Nancy Seay Moore of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Reberta Moore McManus and George McManus of Evans, Ga.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. Moore and Cindy Bailey Moore of Inman, the Rev. Kenny Moore and Shelby Sullivan Moore of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Scott McManus, Kim Moore McGrath, Tammy McManus Thain and Dana Nichole Moore; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas G. Moore and George A. Moore, both of Woodruff, Johnny Basco Moore of Enoree and Spurgeon "Spud" Moore of Gaffney; one sister, Mrs. Clyde (Louise) Lawson of Enoree; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Delaine Moore; one brother, H.P. Moore and two sisters, Ruby M. Clayton and Pearly M. Morrow. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16 at 3 p.m. at the Lanford-Pollard chapel conducted by his son, the Rev. Kenny Moore and the Rev. Ansel Smith. Interment will follow in the Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery . The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2 til 3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 23 at 3 p.m. in Hephzibah, conducted by the Rev. Roland Galloway and the Rev. Benny Smith. The family will receive freinds following the service at the church. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George McManus, 1259 Fury Ferry Road, Evans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Medical College of Georgia Foundation, att. Melba Good, Dept. of Neurology, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Ga. 30912.
