LeFurgey Passes Away Homer E. LeFurgey, age 72, a prominent farmer of the Loma section for about 20 years, passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 16th, at his home at 926 Second Avenue Northwest in Great Falls. Mr. LeFurgey had been suffering from rheumatism for a number of years but had been active and had done his own work until about a year ago when other ailments set in. He had been confined to his bed for about nine or ten months. Mr. LeFurgey brought his family to Montana from Perry, Oklahoma, and settled in the Loma district about 1910. He had made that his home up until the past few years when he moved to Great Falls during the winter months where his grandchildren attended school, but he still spent the summer months at his ranch home. Mr. LeFurgey is survived by three daughters, three sons, a brother and 18 grandchildren. The surviving sons are Howard and William, both farmers in the Loma section, and Charles who resides in Oklahoma. The daughters who mourn his loss are Mrs. Frank Papan of Loma and Mrs. Robert Gipe and Mrs. Lee Beatty, both of Great Falls. He is also survived by his brother, William, of Billings. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church in Fort Benton, Wed. afternoon, Oct. 19th, at 1 o'clock, with Rev. Edwards of Great Falls officiating. Interment will be made in the family plot in Riverside cemetery. Mr. LeFurgey was a man of sterling character and high ideals and was beloved by everyone who knew him. The family and large circle of friends have the sympathy of the entire community in their great loss.
