On June 9, 1923, in Thurmont, Frederick County, she married Samuel Edward Stambaugh, son of Harry Abraham and Rosa Lee Knott Stambaugh. They were the parents of 11 children: Sterling Richard, Virgil Lee, Violet Estella, Carlean Rose Elizabeth, Betty Jean, Samuel Edward Jr., Delores Naomi, Harold David, Joyce Ann Pauline, Larry Eugene and Rodney Francis Stambaugh. Pauline passed away September 22, 1978, in Frederick, Frederick County, and was buried on the 25th in St. John's Church Cemetery, Creagerstown, Frederick County, Maryland.
