Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Deloss ; and two grandchildren. Irene Lillian Hronek, daughter of Mary and Wesley Hronek, was born November 2, 1917, near Pocahontas. She attended country school and went on to business school in Chillicothe, Missouri. After graduation, Irene was Deputy Recorder at the Pocahontas County Courthouse. On September 16, 1940, Irene married DeLoss Drobney and the couple settled in Pocahontas. She started Rene Craft Floral business in the 50s and made wood fiber flowers into bridal arrangements. DeLoss died in 1965. Irene worked as a legal secretary at the R.L. Hudson Law Office. She retired as secretary, and opened Studio of Rene on Main Street, Pocahontas. In May 2000, Irene, Polly and her family purchased a house and began extended family life together. In June 2002, Irene’s health declined and she moved to the Nelson Manor in Newton.
