Description	:	Irvin LaVern Kruse, 77, of rural St. Olaf, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the Guttenberg Hospital. He was born in Elkport, on the home farm, on May 12, 1938, to William and Mildred (Hammond) Kruse. He was baptized at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elkport on August 21, 1938, and later, was confirmed there. He attended country school; then went to Garnavillo, graduating with the class of 1958. Read More	Irvin LaVern Kruse, 77, of rural St. Olaf, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the Guttenberg Hospital. He was born in Elkport, on the home farm, on May 12, 1938, to William and Mildred (Hammond) Kruse. Four children were born to this union. Over the years, Irvin worked at several places, Hilton Homes, Trademark, Garnavillo Mill and Monona Wire. He enjoyed hobby farming, gardening, fencing, and tractors, and especially enjoyed spending time with family and grand kids. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Melissa; mother and father-in-law, two brothers-in-law, Loen Hansel and Jim Bolsinger.
