Pall bearers were Orville Wagaman, Wade Scholey, Elvin Guffey, Glenn Doan, Fred Miller, Gilbert Cohoon. Flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Clark Fengel. Mrs. Harris sang, “In The Garden” and “Beyond the Sunset” accompanied by Mrs. Quincy Dunn. Miss Marjorie Stillians was at the register. Concluding Military Graveside services were by the American Legion Post No. 251 of Villisca. Interment was at the Villisca Iowa Cemetery. Isaac William Ankeny, oldest son of Joseph and Florence Marie Graves Ankeny was born January 28, 1904 in Villisca and passed away July 23, 1972 at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital following a short illness. Isaac attended the Villisca Public Schools. He had been in the employment of Tyler Brothers Bottling Co. for nearly 40 years. He was a Veteran of World War 2. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy C B’s in 1942 and served in the South Pacific Area. He served as Chief Gunner’s Mate and was honorably discharges November 14, 1945. He was a member of the VFW Post 8998 and served as Post Commander for the year of 1965-9166. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Leslie and Joseph and infant sister, Mary Margaret. He is survived by his brother, Darwin of Villisca, Milton of Council Bluffs, and sister, Helen of Villisca, also 9 nieces and nephews, 28 great grand nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors.
