Description	:	"Hart--Jackson Hart, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hart, was born near Savannah, Mo., Oct. 26, 1855, passed to his reward in Colorado Springs, August 9, 1925, at the age of 69 years, 9 months, 13 days. Mr. Hart came with his parents to Kansas while just a small child, lived on the old Hart homestead near Reserve until at the time of his marriage he located on Kentucky Ridge. Mr. Hart came with his parents to Kansas while just a small child, lived on the old Hart homestead near Reserve until at the time of his marriage he located on Kentucky Ridge. In the year 1876 he was married to Miss Florence Sefton Brown at Padonia, Kans., by Rev. James McGuire. To this union 7 children were born: Edgar, Huber, Dorcas, Cecil, Nancy, Rex and Helen. Of these only the 3 daughters survive: Mrs. Dorcas Wells of Rushville, Ill.; Mrs. Nancy Daud, of Colorado Springs; Mrs. Helen Frickey, of Boston, Mass. Mr. Harts wife, 4 sons have have preceded him in death. In 1908 Mr. and Mrs. Hart, 3 youngest children moved to Colorado Springs for the benefit of the climate, but the wife, 2 of the sons passed away there. The deceased became a Christian in his early manhood, lived an earnest consecrated Christian life. He was a devoted member of the Christian church at Reserve, the hope of a future life was a great joy, consolation in his last days. His home was in Colorado 17 years, he made many friends, but he never ceased to long for his Kansas home and friends. His daughter, Mrs. Daud, lovingly, patiently cared for him during his lingering illness of 1 1/2 years, accompanied his body to Reserve for the burial. Mrs. Wells was also present for the funeral." Friday, Aug. 14, 1925 Brown County World, p.4: Hart--Jackson Hart, of Colorado Springs, died Sunday evening, Aug. 9, about 9 o'clock. His body will be brot to Reserve, Wednesday, for burial. Mr. Hart was a brother of Mrs. J. M. Davis, of the late Harvey, Perry, William Hart.
