The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Meek undertaking parlors. Hiawatha Daily World (Hiawatha, KS), Saturday, March 27, 1915; pg. 1 ==== Murray - Jacob Michael Murray, son of J.B. and Mary Murray was born near Watseka, Iroquoise (sic) county (sic), Ill., in 1862. He died at Big Valley, Alberta, Canada, March 19, 1915, of heart failure. He came to Kansas with his parents when a child and grew to manhood in Brown county (sic) and was united in marriage to Friendly D. Sewall Dec. 3, 1884 at Hamlin. To this union were born one son and daughter who with their mother survive him. He also leaves two brothers and five sisters, H. Murray, of Niles, Kas.; George, of Hiawatha; Mrs. Darl Schmitt, Mrs. Jake Richason (sic), of Fairview; Mrs. Keith Coleman, of Powhattan; Mrs. Ed Nyfeler and Mrs. Al Norris, of Hiawatha. The body arrived here Saturday noon from Canada and the funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Meek undertaking parlors. Rev. Mr. Hassenpflug conducted the services and a quartet composed of Rev. and Mrs. Hessenpflug, Miss Bertha Zimmerman and Walter Hampel sang.
