Jim was born February 10, 1948 in Modale, Iowa to the late Joseph and Anna (Gibson) Edwards. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Jim married Ruth Clevenger on June 7, 1969 in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with two daughters, Laura and Brenda. Jim worked at Bartlett Grain Elevator for 40 years, retiring in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ruth Edwards; daughters, Laura (Arthur) Snodgrass, Brenda (Jeffrey) Forrester all of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Jeffrey Forrester, Karissa Forrester, James Snodgrass, Kayla Brockman; sisters, Mary Sales of Council Bluffs, Helen Edwards of Newton, Kansas; many nieces and nephews.
