F. Dixon passed away at her home after an illness of six weeks. She had been a resident of Dunlap for the past sixty years having come here from Tennessee in 1876. For years Mrs. Dixon had been a sufferer from asthma but her recent illness was a pheumonia condition from which she never completely recovered. Jane Caufield, daughter of Frank and Winifred Caufield, was born in Madison, Indinana on April 12, 1858. As an infant she moved with her parents to Nashville, Tennessee where she resided until their death when she moved to Dunlap. In 1881, she was united in marriage to T. F. Dixon who passed away April 15, 1932. To this union ten children were born, two of whom preceded their mother, Jemiah, who died in infancy and Betty, who passed away February 14, 1921. Eight children survive, Letty of Chicago, Illinois; Charles of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mrs. E. V. Kelly of Buffalo, Wyoming; Frank, Winifred, Marie, Alice and Mrs. H. J. Gilbert all of Dunlap. Also two grandchildren, Patricia and John Gilbert. Mrs. Dixon was an ardent and loyal Catholic, often times attending church when weather and other conditions would seem to make going impossible. She was a devoted and loving mother, her first and last thoughts being for her family.
