She passed away on March 28, 2008, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 15 days. Jeri was a Nelson High School graduate. She furthered her education at Bethesda Nursing School in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was united in marriage to Don Beach Goodrich on October 9, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. This union was blessed with six children: Marla, Thomas, Don H., Suzanne, Peggy and John. Jeri worked at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #31, and former member of the Fireman's Auxiliary all in Hebron, Nebraska. She enjoyed being a community volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don B. on November 25, 1990; two brothers, Billy and Gordon Ruttman; one sister, Linda Hoins; grandson, Christopher Ballinger, and great-grandson, Shawn Goodrich, Jr. She is survived by her six children: Marla Bowlin of Elkhorn, NE; Thomas Goodrich and wife, Shirley of Granbury, TX; Don H. Goodrich and wife, Chrystal of Johnstown, CO; Suzanne Wiedel and husband, Gregory of Huron, SD; Peggy Ballinger and fiancè Craig Cook of Fairbury, NE; John Goodrich and wife, Laurie of Schuyler, NE; one brother, Ronald Ruttman and wife, Dorothy of Elgin, IL; sister, Lorene Drohman and husband, Marvin of Hebron, NE; sister-in-law, Clara Ruttman of Nelson, NE; 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hebron, Nebraska with Rev. Julie Sterling officiating. Eastern Star services were conducted by Hebron Chapter #31 Order of Eastern Star. Vocalist Sue Yoachim sang and Brenda Striggow served as accompanist. Inurnment will be at a later date in Nelson Cemetery, in Nelson, Nebraska. Price Funeral Home of Hebron, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
