Goff, whose home was with his parents six miles north west of Glasco, died as the result of a lingering illness of three years, May 16, 1908, aged 17 years, 11 months and 28 days. He is survived by his father and mother, three sisters and two brothers. Read More	Glasco Sun, May 22, 1908, page 3: Obituary John Arley Goff, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Goff, whose home was with his parents six miles north west of Glasco, died as the result of a lingering illness of three years, May 16, 1908, aged 17 years, 11 months and 28 days. He is survived by his father and mother, three sisters and two brothers. A few years ago he removed with his parents to Ray county, Mo., where he resided about nine years, and then with his parents returned to Glasco. He had made no public profession of religion, but bore his severe affliction with great patience and fortitude, and gave evidence in the last days of his affliction that his thoughts were directed to his future. He expressed regret that he had not lived a more religious life, but met his fate with calmness and resignation to the will of his Creator and Saviour trusting in His great mercy and infinite compassion. The funeral services over his remains were conducted by Rev. T.H. Graves, of Beloit, in the Methodist church in Glasco, Kansas, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Glasco cemetery.
