He was born in Philadelphia, but had lived in Kansas about twenty years, moving first to the former home out on Oak Creek. He was married twice, first to Delia Malone. and to them two children were born. His second wife was Miss Mary Boyle, who was the mother of four children, and who with all six children, survive him, both of his parents are dead. Read More	Glaso Sun Dec. 18, 1908 Pg. 5 Obituary of John Driscoll John Driscoll died at his home north of town Saturday, Dec. 12, about noon. He was born in Philadelphia, but had lived in Kansas about twenty years, moving first to the former home out on Oak Creek. He was married twice, first to Delia Malone. and to them two children were born. His second wife was Miss Mary Boyle, who was the mother of four children, and who with all six children, survive him, both of his parents are dead. The funeral occured Monday at ten a.m. from the Catholic church, and interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.( St.Mary's Catholic ) The news of Mr. Driscoll's death came as a great shock on the community. He had always been regarded as a strong, healthy man and in general he was a fine speciman of physical manhood. He seems, however, to have had trouble with his heart on several occasions, and while loading hogs into the wagon at his home, preparatory to bringing them to market, he recieved a heart attack which incapacitated him for work. Dr. Newton was summoned, and he rallied, being, as the doctor is reported to have stated he believed, out of danger. But hardly had the physician gone in his automobile, perhaps as far as Mr. Nowels half a mile south, when another pain attacked the patient. When he recovered from that he remarked something to the effect that when they struck a man, they struck him hard, turned over on his side, and died. In Mr. Driscoll's death the community loses the kind of a man whom, it is difficult to spare. He was thoroughly honest in his business dealings, and was a parent who will be sadly missed in his family. Obit Furnished by: Cheryl White
