Description	:	John Francis "Frank" Logan was born March 23, 1866 in Independence, Iowa to John and Martha (Fortune) Logan. On December 18, 1896, J.F. Logan, farmer, 30, married Hattie Fox, 22, in Logan, Iowa. Hattie was the daughter of Basel and Amanda J. (Bell) Fox. It was a first marriage for both of them. On December 18, 1896, J.F. Logan, farmer, 30, married Hattie Fox, 22, in Logan, Iowa. Hattie was the daughter of Basel and Amanda J. (Bell) Fox. It was a first marriage for both of them. By 1900, Frank Logan and Hattie were living in a rental house at 393 Fourth Street, Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was working as a Railroad car inspector. Their two children, Ruth (b. December, 1896; 3 years old) and Edith Pearl (b. December 1898, 1 year old) made the household lively. By 1910, however, Frank was unemployed, and nobody in the home had outside employment. They were still living in Missouri Valley, but had bought a home at 222 O'Dell's Addition. The home was, however, mortgaged. They had been married for 14 years, and had been blessed with two more children. The 1910 US Census lists: John F. Logan, 44, head, unemployed, b. IA Hattie Logan, 34, wife, b. IA Ruth Logan, 13, daughter, b. IA Pearl Logan, 11, daughter, b. IA (she was going by her middle name now, just as her father was going by his middle name) Lena Logan, 7, daughter, b. IA Doris Logan, 1, daughter, b. IA His last known residence was Missouri Valley, Iowa. Frank Logan passed away March 17, 1917. Hattie later remarried, on November 24, 1919 to Jacob J. Wisecup.
