Joseph Marsh, a resident all his life in or near Villisca and Nodaway, died Tuesday afternoon at his home on West Fifth Street, in Villisca, his death resulting from blood infection after illness since June 1. Mr. Marsh was born in Montgomery County, north of Villisca, March 11, 1873, and was 57 years old at his death. Joseph Marsh, a resident all his life in or near Villisca and Nodaway, died Tuesday afternoon at his home on West Fifth Street, in Villisca, his death resulting from blood infection after illness since June 1. Mr. Marsh was born in Montgomery County, north of Villisca, March 11, 1873, and was 57 years old at his death. He was married in Nodaway on February 28, 1894 to Alpha Wright who survives him, as do their two children, Mrs. E. O. England of Chicago and Ray Marsh of Los Angeles, California. One sister, Mrs. T. M. Scott and one brother, Clarence Marsh of Villisca and three grandchildren survive. Mr. Marsh lived in Nodaway from the time of his marriage until 1918 when he came to Villisca. He was employed here in the freight and baggage department of the Burlington Railroad. His funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church, with Rev. Geo. A. Lawton in charge of the service, assisted by Rev. L. B. Carpenter. The singing was by Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Shane and Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Nordyke, accompanied by Miss Florence Phillips and the pall bearers were E. C. Adkins, C. M. Pace, Russell Shepherd, Joe Graves, Ernest Dunn, and Al Darrell. Interment was in the Nodaway Cemetery.
