Read More	Fairfield Daily Journal Tuesday April 25, 1916 JOSEPH CLINKENBEARD, PIONEER; IS DEAD Joseph CLINKENBEARD, probably the oldest man in Jefferson county, died at his home here last night at 7:45 p.m. Had he lived until September 17th he would have been 90 years old. He was the son of William and Sarah Ann CLINKENBEARD and was born in Scott county, Indiana. At the age of 11 years he came with his parents to Jefferson county, Iowa. In 1845 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Jane KIMES (sic. a/k/a Kime in some sources) in the old courthouse in Fairfield. She died August 14, 1862 (sic. do not know where she was buried. Likely died in Jefferson county, Iowa, possibly buried in Old Fairfield City cemetery but in now-unmarked grave). To this union were born eight children, of whom the following three survive: Mrs. Ellen COOL, Satoria, Neb.; John of Des Moines, Joseph of Oakland, Cal. He was later married to Margaret HUDGELL HUSTON and to this union were born eight children. Of those, three sons, David, Bernard and Guy survive, all being residents of Fairfield. Mr. CLINKENBEARD is survived by 38 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the Bernard CLINKENBEARD residence, 704 South Sixth street, Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. The service will be in charge of Rev. R.H.
