About four weeks ago he was lifting an organ into a wagon, and it is thought that this brought on the stroke, which first attacked his right side. He was able to be about his home, but has gradually grown weaker and the paralysis has increased until his body was entirely affected and death resulted. Mr. Hall came to Lyon County from Iowa in 1857. He and his brother, James Hall, started in the music business here in 1864, and the firm has been here since then. Mr. Hall leaves a wife, four brothers and one sister. The brothers are Thomas Hall, of Cowley County; Dr. Hall, of Michigan; Samuel and James Hall, of Emporia; the sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Migley, lives in Worcester, Mass. The funeral was held from his home, the corner of Fifth avenue and Constitution street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Sellers, pastor of the Christian church, had charge of the ceremonies. Mr. Hall during his live in Emporia has made very many friends. His death will be regretted by all who knew him.
