Description	:	Josephine Ellis Kaiser was the daughter of John Martin Kaiser and Margaretha ("Margaret") Stoll. When Josephine was sixteen, she had her first child, a son, namely: WILLIAM KAISER, aka William Simon, William Stoermer, and William Stoenner (1877-1956). The family always believed that Will was the son of Nicholas Simon; the circumstances of his birth were never known. The couple had three children, two sons and one daughter, namely: JOHN SIMON (1879-1990), ALBERT BERNARD SIMON, aka Albert Bernard Stoermer (1881-1919), and EVA LYDIA SIMON, aka Eva Lydia Stoermer [Mrs. Robert Morris Burns] (1882-1952). Josephine married Frederick Richard Stoermer on June 30, 1885, in Saint Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. Josie and Fred moved to Kansas where their first child, Goldie, was born. Fred heard the call of the West and came ahead to get settled in San Francisco where he became a photographer and scenic landscape artist; his family joined him around 1890. Soon, three more children were born. The family was devastated in 1900 when Goldie died of a heart ailment; she was one day short of fourteen. In 1904, Fred deserted his wife and their children when he left San Francisco and moved to New York City. His date and place of death are unknown. Fred and Josie had four children, two daughters and two sons, namely: GOLDIE EMMA STOERMER (1886-1900), ROY FREDRICK STOERMER (1891-1976), GERTRUDE MARGARET (STOERMER) THOMSON [Mrs. Ernest Elmer Thomson] (1894-1984), and LESLIE REGINALD ("LES") STOERMER (1896-1968). Although the patriarch spelled his given name, Frederick, the name was anglicized to Fredrick when their son, Roy Fredrick Stoermer, was born.
