He was a farmer and was employed at the Fairfield Post Office before his retirement. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and a past exalted ruler of BPOE Lodge in 1974-75. Kenneth Langner was born Sept. 2, 1908, in Jefferson County. He was the son of John Henry and Agnes Wildman Langner. His marriage to Della Snyder took place May 3, 1935, in Fairfield. She preceded him in death Nov. 6, 1982. The family home is at 1000 S. Fourth. Survivors include three daughters, Martha Moore, Blue Grass; Pauline Stevie, Campbellsville, Ky.; Virginia Pickerell, Madison, Wisc.; and a son, Ronald Langner, Newton. Also 12 grandchildren; one brother, William "Bud" Langner, Fairfield; two sisters, Marie "Toots" Rauenbuehler, Idaho and Eloise Larson, Burbank, Calif. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a sister, one grandchild and his parents.
