Langner, 84, died at 9:55 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 1990, at Parkview Care Center. The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials have been established to Parkview (sic) Activity Fund and Fairfield Public Library. Langner was born Sept. 9, 1906, in Fairfield, the son of John H. and Grace H. Wildman Langner. He married Rosabelle Heston June 9, 1928 in Fairfield. She preceded him in death. He was a foreman at Fairfield Glove Company, where he started working before 1945, retiring in 1978. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Eagles Lodge, and Elks Lodge 1192. Surviving aretwo granddaughters; a grandson; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Eloise Larson of Burbank, Calif. A son, William John Jr., two sisters, Marie and Margie and two brothers, Kenneth and O. Taylor (sic), preceded him in death. ---------------- Contributor note: I worked at the Fairfield Glove Company 1973-74, and 1976-1984, and came to know and appreciate William for his many years of dedicated service there.
