THE NEBRASKA ADVERTISER (Nemaha, Nebraska)-Friday, January 15, 1897-Page 1. MRS. LAURA HARRIS, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. P. Peabody died at her residence in Beatrice last Saturday, January 9th, 1897, from typhoid fever, aged 27 years, 1 month and 2 days. Mrs. Harris had nursed her little boy through a long siege of typhoid fever, and was taken with the fever before the little one was out of danger, and on account of her great prostration could not withstand the ravages of the disease. She leaves a husband and two little boys, three and one years old, to mourn the loss of wife and mother. The oldest boy is not able to sit up yet from the fever. The body of the deceased was brought to Nemaha for burial Monday, and was followed to the Nemaha cemetery by a large number of friends. Services were held at the cemetery by Rev. E. S. Chamberlain, of the Christian church, to which Mrs. Harris belonged. The bereaved ones have our sympathy in their great affliction. MRS. LAURA A. HARRIS Mrs. Laura A. Harris died at her home in Beatricem Nebraska, on Saturday morning last of typhoid fever. The deceased was a daughter of V. P. Peabody, of Aspinwall, and leaves a husband and two small children to mourn her death. Her remains were brought in Monday to Nemaha City at which place the funeral occurred the same day.
