Tolle, of North Lawrence, was born March 27, 1827, in Lewis county, Kentucky, and died of consumption Friday, December the 7th, 1888, aged 61 years, 8 months and 10 days. She was married in October, 1849. The deceased and her husband came to Kansas in 1857, where they remained permanent and respected citizens. Read More	Lawrence Daily Journal from Lawrence, Kansas· December 12, 1888 Lavina Ellen Tolle, wife of Isaac M. Tolle, of North Lawrence, was born March 27, 1827, in Lewis county, Kentucky, and died of consumption Friday, December the 7th, 1888, aged 61 years, 8 months and 10 days. She was married in October, 1849. The deceased and her husband came to Kansas in 1857, where they remained permanent and respected citizens. Mrs. Tolle was the mother six children. five of whom are married and living to mourn the loss of a kind and tender mother. She was a devoted wife and exemplary in all her ways. The deceased first joined the Christian church in Ripley, Ohio, and has always been a faithful worker for the Lord. She was a most patient bufferer, bearing and enduring all without a murmur. She was much beloved by all her friends and neighbors who showed her great respect and every attention during her long illness. The funeral services were performed by Rev. Ireland on Sunday, the 9th, and her remains were laid to rest in Maple Grove cemetery.
