Read More	LOVEGROVE, LeROY EVERETTROY—LeRoy Everett, second son of Robert and Sarah Lovegrove, was born on a farm near Exeter, Neb., October 8, 1898. He was killed in a truck accident near Great Bend, Kas., Tuesday, June 18, 1946, aged 47 years, 8 months and 10 days. Roy, as he was fondly called by all who knew him, grew to young manhood near Exeter, moving with the family to a farm five miles northwest of Geneva in 1917. October 21, 1920, he was married to Miss Ruth Anderson of near Fairmont, at Topeka, Kas. To this union were born four children, Sgt. Bob of Ft. Douglas, Utah, Dorothy, Maurice and Donald at home. He is survived by his wife and children, his father, two brothers Walter and George, and one sister, Mrs. Ray Ainsworth, all of this vicinity, many other relatives and a host of friends. Roy was of a sunny disposition and was greatly respected in the community. He was a friend to all who knew him. He never tired of extending a helping hand in joy or sorrow to his fellowmen. He farmed extensively in this community and will be greatly missed. His untimely death leaves a vacancy in the home and in the hearts of his sorrowing widow and children, and his many relatives that this world can never fill. But a firm belief in a reunion in that peaceful harbor in the everlasting arms of God, affords consolation in this sorrow. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church in Geneva at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 22 by Rev. R. L. Embree of Friend, assisted by Rev. Ben Wallace of Geneva. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. A very large concourse of relatives and friends attended. The floral tributes were profuse and beautiful, almost beyond description. Pallbearers were Irwin Patton, Robert Barrett, Gordon Nichols, William Gabler, Charles Krejci, Dinnie Culbertson, Tom Brower and Harry Ward. The singers were Mrs. Rufus Dado, Miss Ruth Hurst, Oliver Moul and Alden McFadden of Fairmont, with Miss Carolyn Curtiss at the organ. The Nebraska Signal June 27th, 1946 page 1.
