Read More	Lillian Irene, eldest child of Charles Edwin and Mary Elizabeth Wells, was born September, 23, 1868, in Seward Township, Winnebago County, Illinois. That was her home until young womanhood and her high school education was completed there. November, 21, 1888, she was married to Herschel G. Marget. This union was blessed with five children, Ward H., Lee Wells, Norris Beach, Chester Myer and Mary Lillian. Norris and Mary died in infancy and Ward passed away two years ago. Her husband also preceded her in death about twenty years ago. The Marget family came to Fairmont, Neb., in 1893, and this has been her home most of the time since. She lived in Lincoln several years. Mrs. Marget was active in various community organizations. She was a member of the local Methodist Church; the Woman's Relief Corps; the Daughters of the Veterans of the Civil War; the Auxiliary to the Sons of Civil War Veterans, the Eastern Star and the Royal Neighbors of America. Several of these organizations had honored her with both local and departmental offices, being the last surviving charter member of the local chapter of the Royal Neighbors. The guiding motif of her life was to be helpful to others. that aim was evidenced in her office of motherhood and in her social and fraternal relationships. It was augmented by a keen sense of loyalty that made her zealously patriotic to her country and faithful to her church and such other organizations with which she was connected. Of such a life we can truly say the world was better for her living in it. She had been in failing health several years. Death occurred in the early morning hours of December 30, 1938. Funeral services occurred Sunday with Rev. Robert L. Embree in charge. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal January 5, 1939 Daughter of Charles Edwin and Mary E. (Brannan) Wells. Married Herschel G. Marget on November 21, 1888 in Seward, Winnebago County, Illinois. Mame to Fairmont, Nebraska, Fillmore Co. in March of 1893. Cause of death: Chronic Myocarditis.
